Keukenhof is one of the biggest flower gardens in the world 🌷
At Keukenhof are about 7 mio flower bulbs planted every year. It only opens from mid March until mid May with the best flower bloom from Mid April.
Since it is only open for a short amount of weeks, there are many tourists visiting. Many including me had the same thought to go there when it opens at 8 am.
I would not recommend that because the queue was very long with busses of people. Later when I left before lunch, there was not even a line in front of gate because they let in the people continuesly. So it is ok to get there later the day.

Keukenhof is only 30 min bus ride from Amsterdam. So a perfect daytrip. Be prepared for the mass of tourists and book everything upfront.
You can book the entrance & bus ticket with time slot on the website. For the return transfer you don‘t need a time slot. Just go to the bus stop when you are done visiting.
