I love to fly and get to new destinations. Especially just being disconnected for a while and watch movies and relax. Here are some of my things that I do before and on a plane to have a smooth flight.

- Only eat food you know before: Being on a plane with stomach pain is the worst. That’s why I eat only simple food where I know I won’t have any issues later. For everyone it’s different but for me it is lactose, high fiber food like beans, raw fish, chicken.
- Pack your refillable water bottle: While on a plane usually you get these small cups with water, but it’s so important to stay hydrated. With a bottle you can always go to the cabin crew and ask to refill it. Be careful with which water they refill it, sometimes they refill it with tank water and not bottled. If you don’t have a water filter, I would not recommend drinking it and get bottled Water.
- Pack your old headphones: If you wanna watch movies, they provide you with these uncomfortable one time use headphones. Just pack your old wire headphones with aux connection. Your own are so much more comfortable. Also you also don’t have any issues with battery time with wireless headphones.
- Order special meals online before the flight: especially for long haul flights it’s very convenient to order special food, if you have any food preferences. Sometimes the airlines also have the choice to order vegetarian food, so you can be sure to get it. Depending where you sit, sometimes they are out of choice at the end. I always order lactose free food, also more prevention. For any impatient person, you always get special meals first before everyone else.
- Compression socks: On long haul flights, you sit there for hours and hours. To prevent long lasting health issues, wear the socks during the flight and you are good to go. The socks provide a better blood circulation from your legs.
Safe travels!
