Travel Inspo #10: Roadtrip to Tenerife

Tenerife is an amazing island out of the Canary Islands. Volcano, beaches, forests, even snow in winter. So there are many activities to do all year long.

In the center of the volcano island is the volcano Teide. The Teide National park is great to explore an doing some hikes and walks. If you want to get close to the volcano crater, you need to buy the limited tickets some months before your trip to secure it.

Otherwise it will be booked out, but even then you get close by car and different views.

In the north of the island the climate is more humid and therefore more green and versatile from the landscape. Barranco del Igueste was a cute area with different kind of vegetation and many cactus and Aloe Vera plants.

Also the small villages along the coast are very authentic. Also the restaurants along there, especially the seafood restaurants. One to recommend is Casa Africa next to the Roque de las Bodegas.

Depending in which area you are located, it can feel more touristy like in Las Americas with tall hotels and vacation homes. Smaller towns in between are very authentic the way the people live on the island.

Tenerife is so versatile with all the activities, different weather conditions and biodiversity.
