Pushkar is a beautiful town with lots of things to do. To get a beautiful viewpoint of the town, hike up to the Savitri Temple in Pushkar. Especially for sunrise it is not crowded and the view is amazing.
Get a Tuk Tuk ride to the starting point of the stairs that lead up to the temple. There is also a cable car, if you prefer that. Hiking up there are >1000 steps to reach the temple.
At the beginning it is still quite dark, but the walkway is bright enough. The stairs are smaller at the beginning. If you continue your hike the steps get bigger and it can be more complicated to get up.
If you reach the temple, there are some monkeys. Take care of your belongings and don’t look them in the eyes to draw attention to you. Walk past and enjoy the view!
While up there, enjoy a cup of Masala Chai Tea inside and warm up. It can be quite windy up there. Hiking down take care of the steps and sand in the wind. Have fun and enjoy your time in Pushkar!
